The Canberra Chill's Japanese trio are ready to use the Hockey One finals in a bid to see themselves playing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Shihori Oikawa, Yui Ishibashi and goalkeeper Sakiyo Asano arrived in Canberra with plenty of international experience between them already.

Both Oikawa and Ishibashi were chosen for the 2018 Asian Games side and are likely candidates to make the team for the 2020 Olympics while Asano is already a dual Olympian.

Oikawa said her experiences abroad have prepared her for Olympic dream to come true.

"I don't know how i can describe my feelings, I'm so excited," Oikawa said. "It will be amazing and I'm proud to play in my home country.
