The Canberra Heat men's and women's teams are aiming to continue their undefeated start in the volleyball Super League when they host the Melbourne Vipers in their first home game of the season this weekend.

Both sides defeated the Western Australia Steel in the two first round matches, showing the competition they are forces to be reckoned.

Heat women's star Danusia Sipa-Borgeaud said her team needed to improve despite beating the Steel.

"We were the only team to win our opening two games...but there's always something to work on," Sipa-Borgeaud said.

"We're going to focus on our serving, we had a few service errors at crucial points of the match that didn't help us in the long run."
