'We'll sledge each other': House rules for Meteors in WBBL opener

Housemates will become enemies this weekend as ACT Meteors' Maitlan Brown and Katie Mack go head to head in this weekend's WBBL season opener.

Women's cricket will take centre stage when the Twenty20 season starts on Friday as a standalone competition for the first time.

Brown and Mack will have to wait for their turn, getting ready to sledge each other when the Melbourne Renegades play against the Adelaide Strikers at Karen Rolton Oval on Saturday.

Brown will be making her comeback from a stress reaction in her shin, which kept her out of the Meteors' start to the WNCL season.

"It's come around so quickly," Brown said as she prepares for her fourth Big Bash campaign.
